It should be another exciting day of ATP Metz action. Cameron Norrie, who recently generated headlines by defeating Carlos Alcaraz at the Rolex Paris Masters, will play against the home favorite Arthur Cazaux. We here at LWOT split the slate of matches between two articles, including Flavio Cobolli vs Lorenzo Sonego. But who will advance?

ATP Metz Day 3 Predictions
Francesco Passaro vs Alexander Blockx

Head-to-head: First meeting

Blockx enters this match with significant momentum after winning a Challenger Tour title in Bratislava. Although a quick turnaround, the 20-year-old’s age and winning his semifinal and final in straight sets should help him. Passaro comprehensively won both of his qualifying matches in Paris, and is talented. However, Blockx’s superior ability and form make him the most likely winner.

Prediction: Blockx in 2

Corentin Moutet vs Aleksandar Vukic

Head-to-head: Vukic 1-0 Moutet

Indoor conditions suit both men well, but Moutet is in much better form. His recent results include reaching the final in Almaty and a quarterfinal run in Vienna. The notoriously temperamental Frenchman will try to get the crowd involved in this match. Vukic possesses more firepower, but I trust Moutet’s variety and ability to dig in during the rallies to secure him victory.

Prediction: Moutet in 3

Cameron Norrie vs Arthur Cazaux

Head-to-head: Norrie 1-0 Cazaux

These two had an epic battle a few weeks ago at the Rolex Shanghai Masters. Norrie recovered from a terrible second set and held his nerve slightly better to triumph 6-3 0-6 7-6. Cazaux could achieve consistently better results with the talent he possesses. There will undoubtedly be several lengthy rallies between two men who move very well. Norrie’s attacking ability has improved this year, as he showed against Alcaraz. That might prove the difference between the players in the indoor conditions. Cazaux can become frustrated if he is consistently put on the back foot despite having a game quite suited to soaking up pressure.

Prediction: Norrie in 3
