SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – A woman who went missing Friday morning who police believed to be in danger, has been found dead, authorities report.
30-year-old Joanna Brown of Worcester was last seen around 9 a.m. Friday at her job at the Bean Counter on Grove Street.
At the time police believed she could have possibly been in western Mass. after learning from her family that she had ties to the Holyoke, Springfield area.
Now, two days after she was first reported missing by her family, the Worcester Police Department says Brown has been found dead in the vehicle she was last believed to be in at the time of her disappearance – a gray Mitsubishi Outlander.

Authorities report Brown was found in the vehicle Monday afternoon.
“The Worcester Police Department regrets to report that on Monday November 3rd at approximately 4pm, following an intensive missing persons investigation, Worcester Police Detectives located a deceased female in the area of 27 Mount Vernon Street (in) Worcester. ,” Worcester police explained.
The announcement coming just before Noon time Tuesday.
“At this time the circumstances around the death of Ms. Brown are being actively investigated by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and members of the Worcester Police Detective Bureau,” noted Worcester police.
