BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge native rapper Young Bleed died at the age of 51 after a brain aneurysm, his son confirmed on social media.
Ty’Gee Ramon Clifton said in a video posted on Instagram that his father, whose real name is Glenn Clifton Jr., died on Nov. 1 after being hospitalized following a collapse. The rapper’s son thanked the fans for their support.
According to Pitchfork, Young Bleed started his rapping career at 9 years old, selling his own tapes as a teen before attracting the attention of No Limit’s founder and label head Master P after joining a local hip hop group.
