With the Philadelphia 76ers needing bodies in an effort to get through the 2024-25 season amid all of the injuries, they gave former first-round pick Chuma Okeke a shot to keep things moving in the right direction for himself.

Okeke was signed to a couple of different 10-day deals and played a total of seven games for the Sixers including three starts. In those games, he averaged 6.9 points and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 45.5% from deep. He was able to perform well enough to then earn an opportunity with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Now, Okeke will head overseas as he has reportedly agreed to a deal with Real Madrid. That will give his next chance to continue playing basketball at a professional level.

Okeke has battled injuries in his career after being selected No. 16 overall by the Orlando Magic back in 2019. It was good for him to get the opportunity with the Sixers as he now looks to build off what he did in Philadelphia.
