Mark Richt is not in the hospital, despite what you have read online.

The ACC Network analyst and former Georgia coach took to social media to dispel any erroneous reports or rumors.

“Apparently, there’s something out there on the Internet saying that I’m in the hospital,” Richt posted on X. “Not true. But if you would have seen me running down the street today, it was so pitiful you probably would have thought I needed to be admitted to the hospital. Lol.”

In 2021, Richt, who also coached at Miami, announced he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

“I have been waddling around lately and people have asked me what’s wrong,” Richt posted. “I’ve decided to tell everyone at the same time. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Truthfully I look at it as a momentary light affliction compared to the future glory in heaven. Thank you Jesus for promising us a future blessing of a glorified body that has no sin and no disease. In the meantime I am going to enjoy the blessings that I do have. See you on the ACC Network!”

In 2019, he suffered a heart attack.

Richt was 145-51 from 2001-15 at Georgia, winning SEC titles in 2002 and 2005.

He then led the Miami Hurricanes to a 26-13 record in three season before retiring in 2018.

Richt, who played quarterback at Miami in the early 1980s, won 10 games in 2017, but slipped to 7-6 in 2018.
