GREENWOOD, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Olde Eight golf course near Lake Greenwood officially opened on Friday.
The $400 million project, developed by Greenwood Land Holdings, LLC, and managed by Front Light Building Company Development, features a redesigned 18-hole championship layout.
Matt Green, CEO of Front Light Building Company, said, “No detail has been overlooked. From our golf course course design and landscaping to the homes and amenities, Olde Eight represents our team’s dedication to excellence. This is more than a golf course—it’s an investment in Greenwood’s future. Olde Eight reflects the kind of growth and innovation that will continue to move this community forward.”
Additional golfing amenities will include a 9-hole short course, putting course, and practice and instruction facility known as the Repair Shop that will serve as the home of a world-class teaching academy. The academy will be led by Shane LeBaron, a nationally recognized instructor.
Construction is scheduled to begin on the short course and additional practice facilities in early 2026.
