Nov. 7 (UPI) — A powerful wind storm in Pennsylvania caused damage to a wildlife sanctuary and allowed three African servals to escape.

The Cricket Wildlife Center in Alburtis said on social media that a windstorm Wednesday night caused damage to multiple enclosures.

“The worst being our African serval enclosure,” the post said. “A tree fell on the pen, allowing the three cats to escape.”

The center said the cats “are older animals” and keepers fear they will not be able to take care of themselves while on the loose.

“They are not a danger to your kids or pets so please do not harm them,” the post said.
