Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are quietly leading the AFC North, fresh off a decisive defensive battle against the Indianapolis Colts. Now, Mike Tomlin’s squad is up against a similarly scrappy AFC squad in the Los Angeles Chargers.

Defense remained the name of the game for both sides to start Sunday night’s showdown in prime time. Chris Boswell got the scoring started with a 59-yard field goal for the Steelers, but then Rodgers couldn’t shake Khalil Mack while under pressure in his own territory, falling on top of his own fumble to absorb a safety. Justin Herbert then shook off a hard hit from behind, which required both his ankles to receive some heavy taping on the sidelines, to fire a go-ahead touchdown strike to Ladd McConkey before halftime.

Can Rodgers guide the Steelers back from a 12-3 halftime deficit to lift Pittsburgh on the road? Or are the Chargers poised to trudge their way to victory at SoFi Stadium, keeping pace with the Denver Broncos in the AFC West? Either way, this is a must-see matchup under the prime-time lights. Stay tuned for live updates and analysis.
