Britney Spears returned to social media after a brief hiatus, and with her return came quite a bit of confusion.
The “Toxic” singer, 43, posted a professional photo of a male model on Sunday, November 9, via Instagram and captioned the picture, “Hi beautiful man !!!”
Spears also tagged Jessica Harris as the photographer, but Harris soon revealed she wasn’t the person behind the camera for this particular image.
“Don’t know how this happened, but thanks, Britney Spears,” Harris wrote via her Instagram Stories. “I’m not the photographer. Here are the correct credits for the post.”
Harris then went on to tag Emmanuel Sanchez Monsalve, a professional photographer who has worked with other celebrities like Bad Bunny and America Ferrera.
The model in the picture, who goes by Amordeldemonio on social media, also chimed in on the mixup by resharing Spears’ post, along with a post from casting director Yelana Kopian.
Kopian also reshared the Crossroads star’s post and wrote, “So random, Britney. This is @amordeldemonio. I cast him for Kanye [West]. He’s the best soul. Giving a [shoutout] and if you want to book him, that’s his IG.”
Spears’ return to social media came after she reportedly stepped away following some of the allegations made in her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s new memoir.

“She needed to come off social media because she was close to going nuclear,” a source told the Daily Mail on Saturday, November 8. “She was hurt that people use her posts to weaponize her past issues with mental illness to mock and denigrate her.”
Spears also deactivated her Instagram account earlier this month after an alleged video of her driving erratically went viral. However, she returned less than a week later with a bizarre message that confused fans.
“So much has happened this year, it’s crazy … I try to live within my means and the book, ‘Draw the Circle’ is an incredible perspective,” the mom of two wrote alongside a screenshot of a video featuring herself wearing lingerie and black boots. “Get your ballerina, circle, and own your boundaries. It’s incredibly strict and somewhat of a form of prayer but with so many endless possibilities in life, it’s important to do you and keep it simple. I know there is a confusing side too. The devil is in the details but we can get to that later.”
Comments on the pop star’s Instagram account remain turned off.
