A not-yet-opened Egg Harbor Township business says it already is renovating after a fire last week.

Dooney’s Pub has been expected to open at the former Tilton Inn site for quite some time.

A recent job fair had many anticipating the doors would open soon at the Hingston and Tilton roads location. 

Then, there was a fire Friday morning.

But the business let everyone know this weekend that “renovations area already underway, and we’re working to get the space ready to welcome you for the opening soon,” a Facebook post read.

They also thanked the firefighters for their quick response, nothing that no one was injured.

“We appreciate your continued support, patience, and kind messages,” the post continued.

Firefighters from Bargaintown, Cardiff, Scullville and Northfield responded to the blaze.
