A popular exercise bike sold nationwide is being recalled for posing fall and injury hazards.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall of 833,000 Peloton Original Series Bike+ Model PL02 units after receiving three reports of seat post breaking and detaching from the bike during use.

Two fall injuries were reported as a result of the post breaking.

“The bike’s seat post assembly can break during use, posing fall and injury hazards to the user,” the recall warns.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled exercise bikes and contact Peloton for a free repair. Peloton is offering consumers a free seat post that can be self-installed.”
