The Latin Grammys are happening Thursday in Las Vegas, and a native of the Rio Grande Valley will be making some of the announcements.
Rio Grande City’s Emmanuel Camacho will be announcing the sponsors during tonight’s broadcast.
While he says it’s a small role, Camacho said it’s a big step for his career.
“They said no like four times until they said yes, and I was super excited,” Camacho said. “Then in 2022, finally I got the privilege to be the voice for the commercial breaks.”
Camacho has also been the voice for portions of the Billboard Latin Music Awards. He said he hopes to one day be the voiceover throughout the entire Latin Grammys.
