The band has undergone numerous lineup changes over its 50-year history. The current lineup consists of lead guitarist Neal Schon, the band’s sole original member, Jonathan Cain, the band’s keyboardist since 1980, and Arnel Pineda, the band’s lead vocalist since 2007. Keyboardist-singer Jason Derlatka, drummer-singer Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen round out the touring lineup for the Final Frontier tour.
The Final Frontier tour wasn’t guaranteed due to the fractious relationship between Schon and Cain, but the band members settled their legal dispute last year. Schon previously told Rolling Stone that he was “past all that,” adding, “People go through changes. A band go through changes. It’s just life. Life moves on whether you like it or not.”
