OG Anunoby won’t travel with the New York Knicks on their upcoming road trip as the forward deals with a left hamstring strain. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks, league sources said Sunday.

With 6:52 left in the first quarter of Friday’s game between the Knicks and Miami Heat, Anunoby left the contest and didn’t return. The injury occurred as Anunoby was attempting a layup, and he came down holding his hamstring.

Per league sources, OG Anunoby (left hamstring strain) will be reevaluated in two weeks. OG won’t travel with the team on the upcoming roadtrip.

It happened one game after Knicks star Jalen Brunson rolled his right ankle in the final two minutes of a blowout loss to the Orlando Magic. The team said Brunson has a grade-1 sprain and will be day to day moving forward.

The injury to Anunoby is a blow for the Knicks, as the veteran swingman had been playing like an All-Star early this season. Through the Knicks’ first 11 games, he averaged 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and a career-best 2.1 steals while shooting 39.7 percent from 3.

New York will begin a five-game road trip on Monday, starting in Miami. They also face the Dallas Mavericks, the Magic and the Brooklyn Nets, then cap the away stretch with an NBA Cup game against the Charlotte Hornets on Nov. 26.
