Four masked men armed with guns invaded the South Florida home of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine on Sunday night and held his mother against her will, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 10 p.m., PBSO road patrol deputies were called about an ongoing home invasion burglary in the 6400 block of Duckweed Road near Wellington, Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Teri Barbera said in a statement Monday afternoon.
Multiple people who were inside the rapper’s home at the time of the burglary told deputies the intruders had handguns, and one suspect held the rapper’s mother outside while the other men “ransacked the property,” Barbera said, and “asked for cash and car keys.”
Barbera said miscellaneous belongings were taken but no cars.
Detectives used K-9s to search the home but had “negative results,” Barbera said. The intruders may have fled in a car, police said.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, has been embroiled in multiple lawsuits in South Florida in recent years and was hospitalized after he was assaulted at an LA Fitness gym in Lake Worth Beach in 2023.
