Despite success, the Eagles appear to be turning on each other behind closed doors.

Former Eagles player Seth Joyner says he’s heard there is some side-eye being thrown at quarterback Jalen Hurts at the center of their issues

“I work with an Eagles’ insider and we had an in-depth conversation [Sunday] night on our postgame show and it seems to him that there is some consternation when it comes to Jalen,” Joyner said on Philadelphia radio 94 WIP. “Not only in the locker room, but in the organization, and that’s problematic because from the outside looking in, you would never think that.”

The most outwardly unhappy player on the Eagles has been star receiver AJ Brown, who has previously called the Philadelphia culture “a s–t show” while on a live stream playing video games last week.

“There are things that they run in practice, and they get in the game, and he goes off on his own tangent. That to me is problematic,” Joyner said.

Joyner, who played 13 years in the league including eight with the Eagles, added that Hurts had previously been targeting Brown on plays in practice, but “doesn’t have the patience” to get the ball to him.

The alleged issue boiled over after Hurts threw an out route to Jahan Dotson while Brown was wide open in a loss to the Giants. The pass was intercepted and nearly taken for a touchdown by Cor’Dale Flott.

The Eagles have won four straight since and are on top of the NFC with the Rams, though issues appear to remain.

After the Eagles’ 16-9 win on “Sunday Night Football” over the Lions, where the referees arguably bailed them out in what would have been poor time management and offensive execution down the stretch, Hurts said he’s ignoring the chaos that appears to be surrounding their locker room.

When asked about the game plan, which clearly was focused on getting Brown the ball, as he ended with a season high 11 targets, Hurts pointed those questions to offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

“Just going with the flow of the game and how it was called,” said Hurts, who led the Eagles to a Super Bowl championship last season.
