Latest Atlantic County road work for the week of Nov. 17.
Lane closures are expected on the Route 30 drawbridge over Absecon Inlet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Nov. 21, for scheduled preventative maintenance work by the N.J. Department of Transportation. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed, exercise caution and anticipate potential delays in the work area. The schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions or other unexpected events.
A single-lane, alternating traffic patter will remain in effect on California Avenue between Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township and Main Street in Pleasantville from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting.
Motorists should follow the posted work zone signs and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. Traffic directors will be on site to assist.
A detour will be in effect between Mount Vernon and Northfield avenues on Shore Road for city work from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Zion Road will be closed between Shore Road and Wabash Avenue next Monday through Wednesday — Nov. 24 through 26 — from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Motorists should follow the posted detours and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. Police and traffic directors will be on site to assist.
