New clinic to help treat mental health opens in St. Joseph
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo) ETMS Missouri opened it latest clinic in St. Joseph to help treat mental illnesses in a painless, non-invasive way.
The clinic uses transcranial magnetic stimulation, where they use electromagnetic pulses to scan and relax the brain. Once scanned, the data is used to give 20 treatments throughout four weeks for a healthy recovery.
St. Joseph police officer Blaine Kennedy, has gone through eTMS’s process and has recommended it to his fellow active service members.
“I would recommend this to any first responder, you know, being nurses, firefighter, police, dispatchers, military, anybody that suffered any type of, you know, trauma from the job, it definitely helps.” Kennedy said.
The eTMS clinic is open to everyone. Veterans, first responders, and active police officers can use the clinic for free. eTMS is located at 3500 N Village Dr. Suite 103 and 105
