The Galaxy Watch 6 received a secondary beta update less than a month ago, which likely left some wondering how long it would take for Samsung to release an update to the full build. It appears that’s coming sooner rather than later, with Samsung rolling out One UI 8 based on Wear OS 6 for the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
Samsung’s first One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic is currently rolling out in Korea (via GSMArena). As these updates tend to go, the US should follow suit shortly with more regions added to the list soon after.
As more regions gain access, the Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic will see some changes to UI and fitness features. More specifically, One UI 8 Watch adds a new stacked tile feature for better widget access, which is certainly welcome.
This comes as the Galaxy Watch 5 is due for another beta update soon, if Samsung is following the same routine as it did with the Watch 6 series. The Galaxy Watch 5 is expected to receive access to a final build of Wear OS 6, although Samsung hasn’t provided any timeline details.

You can download the update through the Galaxy Wearables app, rather than the Members app. From there, head into the settings and look for the software update page.
