An exclusive report from People detailed the split between Burruss and Tucker.
ATLANTA — After more than a decade together, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are preparing to part ways, marking the end of a prominent reality-TV partnership that viewers have followed since its earliest days.Â
In an exclusive report by People, Burruss shared that the choice to divorce came only after significant reflection and spiritual grounding. The couple were married for 11 years.
She emphasized that, despite the emotional weight of the moment, her priority is maintaining her peace and creating a supportive environment for her children through respectful co-parenting.
“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” Burruss told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement.
“I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”

She expressed gratitude for the encouragement the couple received throughout their marriage and asked for understanding as their family adjusts to the transition.
Burruss, 49, and Tucker, 52, first met behind the scenes during filming for The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2011. Their relationship moved quickly, with an engagement announced in early 2013 and a wedding the following spring. Over the years, they welcomed two children together, Ace and Blaze, while also raising children from previous relationships.
Professionally, the two were known for their collaborative spirit, working together on restaurant ventures, a trucking business, and a Bravo series highlighting their family’s entrepreneurial pursuits. As recently as November 2025, Burruss publicly acknowledged Tucker’s support while accepting a Wifetime Achievement Award during BravoCon.
Beyond television, Burruss has continued to expand her footprint in theater, both onstage and as a producer, earning recognition for her contributions to several acclaimed Broadway productions.
