The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 27-year-old man in connection to two separate homicide investigations.On Sunday, deputies responded to a shooting at a home on Boylston Road shortly before 8 a.m. Deputies found 47-year-old Derrick Leach dead from an apparent gunshot wound.Deputies identified Jose Cristian Bravo-Martinez, 27, as a suspect in this case. Investigators also learned that Bravo-Martinez was driving a stolen vehicle.Patrol deputies later found Bravo-Martinez and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, resulting in a brief pursuit.Authorities later arrested Bravo-Martinez. While in custody, he was also served warrants for a deadly shooting in Greensboro.On Sunday, Nov. 16, officers responded to a home on Upland Drive where they found Joaquin Gabriel Hernandez in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. Greensboro police said he was transported to the hospital, where he later died.Authorities have not confirmed if these two investigations are related. Investigators have charged Bravo-Martinez with the following:Felony first-degree murderFelony possession of a stolen vehicleTwo counts of felony robbery with a deadly weaponFelony speed to flee/elude arrestMisdemeanor no operator licenseMisdemeanor reckless driving – wanton disregardMisdemeanor speedingMisdemeanor expired operator’s licenseHe is currently being held in the Guilford County Detention Center in High Point without bond. On Sunday, deputies responded to a shooting at a home on Boylston Road shortly before 8 a.m. Deputies found 47-year-old Derrick Leach dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Deputies identified Jose Cristian Bravo-Martinez, 27, as a suspect in this case. Investigators also learned that Bravo-Martinez was driving a stolen vehicle.

Patrol deputies later found Bravo-Martinez and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, resulting in a brief pursuit.

Authorities later arrested Bravo-Martinez. While in custody, he was also served warrants for a deadly shooting in Greensboro.
