Keith Merrow, the newly announced guitarist for technical death metal band Vitriol, has made a post to his Instagram story explaining that the rest of the band’s line-up have decided to leave mid-tour, effectively abandoning sole original member Kyle Rasmussen.Â
Merrow alleges that himself, along with Brett Leier (bass), and Andy Vincenzetti (drums), abandoned Rasmussen at a gas station in Vermont due to his “cowardly and weak outbursts of misplaced anger.”
Previously, Vitriol have been hit with numerous line-up issues, with Rasmussen being left as the only member for a time. The band has not issued a statement thus far.Â
Merrow’s full post:
HE FUCKED AROUND AND FOUND OUT.
I’LL BE HOME FOR THANKSGIVING, BABY.
SORRY VITRIOL FANS. WE HAD TO ABANDON HIM AT A GAS STATION IN VERMONT.
MYSELF, ANDY, BRETT, AND MATT WILL NOT TAKE KYLE’S COWARDLY AND WEAK OUTBURSTS OF MISPLACED ANGER.
WE GAVE EVERYTHING WE HAD, AND NOW HAVE NOW LEFT YOU WITH NOTHING. MASS EXODUS.
THIS WAS THE DARKEST DAY OF MY MUSIC CAREER TO DATE
