So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

MØL – “YOUNG” & “GARLAND”

Danish post-metal band MØL have announced a new album, Dreamcrush, due January 30 via Nuclear Blast. Here’s two towering new songs from the LP.

CARDINALS – BARBED WIRE”

Irish band Cardinals have shared another song from their upcoming debut album, Masquerade, which is out February 13. “It’s very much inspired by the history of our city and the Gaol house that stood on the south gate bridge many years ago, lyrically I had hoped to evoke images of silhouetted city walls and security fences,” says frontman Euan Manning. “Sometimes aesthetics can carry a song from its inception to its completion. Kevin Barry’s novel ‘City of Bohane’ also served as inspiration for a gothic re-imagining of Cork.” The Black and white video is gorgeous.

BILL FOX – “ALASKA” & “PALE BLUE EYES” (THE VELVET UNDERGROUND COVER)

Ohio cult folk artist Bill Fox follows up this year’s Resonance (first album in over a decade) with this two-track single that includes original “Alaska” and a Velvet Underground cover.

ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ (EX ARCH ENEMY) – “THE ROOM WHERE SHE DIED”

Alissa White-Gluz (sister of No Joy’s Jasamine White-Gluz) has left Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy after more than a decade being their vocalist, and announced her debut solo album. Full details are still TBA but her vocals are as harsh as ever, alongside some very pretty parts, on the first single. She says: “‘The Room Where She Died’ is a song that feels truly satisfying to me; like I get to express myself in so many ways that have been dormant for years. This upcoming album is diverse.”

PULP – “THE MAN COMES AROUND” (JOHNNY CASH COVER)”

Pulp have shared this Johnny Cash cover which was recorded for TV limited series The Hack and will now be released as part of a new 12″ single.
