NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WPTA) – One person was critically hurt in a house fire Monday night in New Haven, according to fire investigators.
New Haven dispatchers tell 21Alive the fire began just after 9 p.m. Monday at a home on Heathermoor Lane, in a neighborhood off Green Road and Seiler Road.
Fire crews on scene tell 21Alive there were reports of an explosion. When fire crews arrived on scene, they found the home’s garage engulfed in flames. One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and another was treated on-scene.
Firefighters also rescued pets from the home during the fire.
The house is left in unlivable condition after sustaining heavy damage.
Investigators are still working to determine a cause of the fire.
