An art bazaar featuring the work of members takes place at the Northern Initiative for Social Action (NISA) Dec. 5.

All pieces are handmade or painted by local artists and will be for sale. Pieces by the late Sudbury artist Ray Laporte will also be on display.

The proceeds will directly benefit the artists. Purchases are via e-transfer only.

NISA is a local non-profit dedicated to mental health and recovery.

Art has long played an important role in mental health recovery, especially at NISA, said a press release. It offers connection, expression and hope. This event highlights the transformative impact of creativity — both for artists and the broader community.

The event takes place at NISA’s location at 36 Elgin St. (second floor) from 2-6 p.m. Dec. 5.
