Stranger Things co-stars Millie Bobby Brown, 21, and Noah Schnapp, 21, are opening up about their close friendship.
In a joint interview with Vogue, uploaded on November 25, Brown and Schnapp, who both began starring in Stranger Things during its first season in 2016, shared their first impressions of each other. Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, said that he remembered meeting Brown for the first time before she got her head shaved to play her character Eleven in season 1. According to Schnapp, he didn’t recognize Brown without her hair.
He also said that he felt a connection to Brown “right away.”
“I thought you were, like, so funny and made me feel so comfortable,” said Schnapp, who is the godfather to Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi’s baby.
Schnapp, who shared he is gay in 2023, then joked that Brown was attracted to him when she first met him. Brown replied that she “did have like the biggest crush on [him]” when they were children.
“I loved you so much. But I actually just think it was really platonic. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I love him so much,'” said Brown to her Stranger Things co-star.
Schnapp also shared that there was a point where he thought he “was in love with” Brown.

During a November 2025 interview withEntertainment Tonight, Schnapp and Brown discussed the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which begins airing on November 26 on Netflix. When asked what they’ll miss most about the show, the pair responded “each other.”
Schnapp and Brown then explained that they view each other as siblings.
Schnapp also said he has a similar dynamic with Brown as he does with his twin sister, Chloe.
“I’m actually the triplet,” quipped Brown during the Entertainment Tonight interview.
The Stranger Things co-stars also said they intend to maintain their friendship.
