On Saturday, Virginia Tech suffered a tough loss to Miami, 34-17. However, all eyes are on the future under new head coach James Franklin, a future that has visiting recruits fired up.

Over the weekend, the Hokies made a strong impression on some visiting recruits, including McDonald (Pa.) Fort Cherry Top247 safety and Penn State commit Matt Sieg (2026), Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic three-star cornerback Xavier Bowman (2028), Woodbery Forest (Va.) High four-star offensive lineman Junior Saunders (2027), Dodge Center (Minn.) Triton three-star tight end and Penn State commit Pierce Petersohn (2026), and Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy three-star cornerback Romel Koon (2027).
