The official solicit synopsis for Luna Snow: World Tour #1 from Marvel Comics reads, “As the world recovers from Doctor Doom’s takeover, K-pop star and ice-wielding super hero LUNA SNOW hits her lowest low yet. So she takes her music into her own hands — and hits the road!”
“But when a NEW K-POP STAR appears on the scene with music that’s so catchy it’s criminal, Luna has to shift into hero mode to defend the very fans who can’t stand her. Can she win their hearts and save the day? And which beloved Marvel heroes will join her along the way?”
Writer Grek Pak said of the character, “Luna Snow’s been a blast to write ever since she debuted in comics in the War of the Realms: Agents of Atlas book. But this new story is something special – we get to focus on her as the hero and dig deep into what it means to be a pop star and a super hero at a time when fascists and exploiters have very specific uses for pop stars and super heroes.”
Pak added, “We’ve got a fantastic new K-pop villain named Vibe, who you’ll love to hate, a couple big surprise classic Marvel guest stars, and absolutely top tier art from Ario Anindito and Tak Miyazawa. The art pops, the book rocks, and you do not wanna miss it!”
Introduced in the pages of 2019’s War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1 by Greg Pak and Gang Hyuk Lim, Seol Hee’s early life was marred with tragedy when she lost her parents, though she found a loving and supportive home with her grandmother afterward. This helped her achieve her dreams as a K-pop idol as part of the group 4L1T under the name Luna, whose opening show was the target of an attack by A.I.M.
During the incident, Luna was trapped within a Stark Industries cold-fusion reactor that malfunctioned, imbuing her with incredible cryokinetic abilities. After this, Luna rebranded herself as Luna Snow before continuing her career as a musician and occasionally stepping in to lend a hand in fighting the good fight where needed, most prominently during Marvel Comics’ War of the Realms storyline.
Apart from her comic book career, Luna Snow has found a whole new kind of popularity and a whole new fan base, courtesy of her appearance in the hit hero shooter from NetEase Games — Marvel Rivals. As one of the first playable heroes added to the game, Luna Snow had an early edge over the competition and has proven to be a competitive fan-favorite in the time since then.
Luna Snow: World Tour #1 is slated to arrive in comic book stores everywhere on Jan. 14, 2026.
