MUSTANG RIDGE, Texas — A roadway in Mustang Ridge is clear of trash and debris after volunteers and police worked to clean an illegal dumping site.

According to Mustang Ridge police, volunteers gathered on Maha Circle on Saturday to clear the trash, tires, mattresses, furniture and other litter that had been dumped and accumulated on both sides of the stretch of road off of 183.

The effort, organized by a resident, used a number of tractors and two dumpsters to clear the debris from the road.

Mustang Ridge police say that officers assisted with traffic control during the cleanup.
