Dantex Group has announced the strengthening of its long-established relationship with its Spanish partner, Dugopa. The move kickstarts increased collaboration to expand the market reach of the Dantex Pico digital press portfolio across Iberia.

The renewed partnership was formalized during a recent visit to Madrid, too. Both companies aligned on a shared roadmap to provide greater technical support, broader customer access, and a more unified commercial presence throughout the region, too.

The relationship between Dantex and Dugopa has lasted over four decades. The continuity has been crucial to Dantex’s presence in Spain and Portugal. Established in 1940, Dugopa is one of Iberia’s most respected providers of print and converting technology, recognized for its strong engineering expertise, longstanding customer relationships and a highly responsive on-site service model. The company’s technical team has supported generations of converters in labels, packaging and industrial print.

The digital transformation

As the digital transformation accelerates, customers can benefit from a more sophisticated integration of knowledge, service, and technology. Dugopa’s exclusive leadership of Pico across Iberia combines its local expertise with Dantex’s ongoing development of high-performance inkjet systems. Both companies are already planning to expand training, provide hands-on system evaluation, and increase customer access to emerging Pico innovations. In the short term, customers will experience more aligned service protocols. They can also enjoy streamlined technical communication and better access to upgrades across the PicoJet and PicoColour platforms.

Looking ahead, Dantex and Dugopa are collaborating on market initiatives to support Iberian converters. Customers are transitioning to faster, more efficient and highly automated digital production. These initiatives also include targeted outreach to high-growth label sectors. Plus, education on the advantages of inkjet and coordinated strategies to introduce Pico developments to the region will be key.

“Dantex and Dugopa share a history that extends well beyond a typical supplier/distributor relationship,” says Carlos Aramburu, Dugopa’s managing director. “Our teams have grown together for decades, learning, adapting, and supporting the needs of converters across the region. This new phase in our partnership reflects a mutual trust and a shared ambition to help customers move forward with confidence. The Pico range represents an exciting opportunity for the market, and with our combined technical strength and customer focus, we are prepared to deliver solutions that encourage real, sustainable growth. We are proud of what we have achieved together and energized by what lies ahead.”

Ben Danon, group CEO of Dantex, adds, “Our 40-plus years with Dugopa gives customers complete reassurance in the people supporting them. Dugopa’s knowledge of the market, its technical capability and its commitment to long-term success make a real difference to how customers invest and plan for the future.

“And as we continue to expand the Pico portfolio and introduce new innovations, having a partner with Dugopa’s experience and integrity, ensures that customers get the right technology, backed by first-class support. This strengthened partnership is a milestone for both companies and a very positive step for the Iberian market.”
