Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Spyshots confirm leaked Leica camera design, global model revealed

Triple camera instead of quad camera

It is immediately apparent that the quad camera of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been replaced by a triple camera configuration. Two cameras are located at the bottom of what is presumably another round camera module, while the significantly larger 200 MP telephoto lens is now located on the upper left side, similar to the Vivo X200 Ultra. Directly above it are two small round LEDs and additional sensors. The design resembles the one discovered in the HyperOS code a few days ago, greatly increasing the likelihood that this leak actually reflects the real design of the new Leica camera.

Global model surfaces

Rumor has it that the new periscope module contains not just a simple telephoto lens, but a true optical zoom camera with variable focal length, although this has not yet been confirmed. What is fairly certain that we can now expect to see the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in Europe. While most observers already anticipated this, the global model with the number 2512BPNDAG has been discovered in the IMEI database for the first time, as the screenshot below proves. Hence, we expect the Xiaomi 17 Ultra to be launched in China in December and globally in March 2026.
