WNBA legend Candace Parker watched Kobe Bryant’s “Mamba Mentality” in person.

Kobe’s walk-esque and attitude toward basketball is now so famous that it is impossible to know. Endless effort, endless competition made me the man who came closest to Michael Jordan.

In fact, sports players’ work ceremonies are sometimes underestimated or rather overestimated. There are not many stories of people who have seen it with their own eyes, and there are many cases of overestimating it from mouth to mouth, especially with the image making of “That player will work hard.” But Kobe was real. Not a single person doubted him.

Parker, in particular, confirmed Kobe’s “Mamba Mentality” twice at the nearest place. In addition, they removed the doubts about the exaggerated work formula and showed respect for it.

Parker was a superstar representing the WNBA, or American women’s basketball. He also won gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics. He is with Kobe at this time. Of course, the men’s and women’s national teams had different training hours, but Kobe was always on the court.

Parker told the podcast All the Smoke, “The most memorable thing is, I’ve talked about it a lot, it was in 2008 and 2012. Still joking with (Dwayne) Wade. They said they did weight training every morning because of Kobe when they were on the team.”

“But it wasn’t every day (laughs). It’s definitely not every day. I was there. I was there,” he added.

But Kobe was different. Regardless of location and environment, he trained according to his routine whenever he had a ball and a rim. It’s not an exaggeration. That’s what everyone who’s been watching him is saying.

Parker said, “Before our training started, the men’s national team saw Kobe practicing alone on the court many times, even though it was a day without training. It was literally every day. We often only hear exaggerated stories about someone’s walk-esque and I saw it with my own eyes.”

“Even on days when there was no training for the men’s national team, we came out every day to do footwork and shooting training before our training began. It was a real shock to me. So I learned more from those things than from fun jokes or anecdotes about the walk ceremony,” he added.

Of course, Parker is also a WNBA superstar and legend who is not behind Kobe. He was a legend representing women’s basketball in the world until he recently announced his retirement.

Parker was a monster who was named the first rookie and MVP simultaneously in WNBA history. And he boasts a brilliant career, including two MVPs, seven All-Star, and seven All-WNBA First Team selections.

Even Parker was sure to respect Kobe’s work ethic, or “Mamba Mentality.” Behind the pride of being the best in the world, there was a posture to prepare for me and myself to be perfect every day. Parker watched Kobe’s process and showed respect.
