The “Today” meteorologist Dylan Dreyer and her estranged husband have completed the sale of their New York City condominium for $1.8 million, absorbing a substantial financial loss nearly one year after initially placing the property on the market, according to Realtor.com.

The transaction marks a $500,000 decrease from the $2.3 million the couple paid for the residence in 2016. Dreyer and NBC News cameraman Brian Fichera first listed the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home at $2.5 million, Realtor.com reported.

The couple purchased the 1,491-square-foot apartment in Battery Park months before their eldest son Calvin arrived in late 2016. The family later grew to include two more boys: Oliver, now 5, and Rusty, 3.

Eight months after listing the property, Dreyer announced the separation, emphasizing that the pair remain close friends. Following that announcement, the apartment disappeared from listings before reappearing at a reduced asking price of $1.99 million, according to Realtor.com.

The 2008-built residence features floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Battery Park’s greenery below. Interior elements include oak wood floors throughout the expansive living area, while the kitchen showcases gray cabinetry, contemporary appliances, and marble counters.

Dreyer Transformed A Small NYC Bedroom Into A Three-Level Kids’ Space

The family adapted their Manhattan home around the needs of three young children through thoughtful updates. Listing photos highlighted a distinctive three-level bunk system created for the boys’ room, a feature that drew plenty of attention for its creativity.

Dreyer had spoken about the tight layout long before the sale, sharing that she felt committed to using every inch in a smart way. She mentioned this in a 2022 Instagram post after hearing repeated suggestions to move, explaining that the apartment could still support their daily life with the right adjustments.

“‘You have to move,’ they said. ‘You’ll never fit in your apartment,’ they said. ‘Time for a bigger place,’ they said. This is how you do it in NYC. I think they all fit just fine…for now,” Dreyer wrote.

The primary suite delivers generous proportions, with a five-fixture bathroom finished in Crema Luna limestone, Waterworks hardware, and teak cabinetry. The dining area seats 10 people with ease, giving the home a wider feel during gatherings.

Rooftop, Pool, Fitness Center Highlight Full Amenity Package In Dreyer’s Former Building

Residents of the apartment complex have access to numerous shared facilities, Realtor.com reported. These include 24-hour doorman service, an indoor pool with natural lighting, hot tub, sauna, steam room, modern fitness center, children’s play area, and a 7,000-square-foot rooftop deck equipped with commercial barbecues, wet bar, and private cabanas.

Dreyer reflected on leaving the apartment where she and Fichera raised their children, sharing multiple images of the boys’ bedroom evolution over time. “This room holds a lot of memories, and I thank God every day for each and every one of them,” she wrote. “The boys have a whole lifetime of love and dreams ahead of them! Just not in a triple bunk bed!”

The sale coincides with Dreyer’s recent relocation to suburban living, following “Today” show colleagues Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. Dreyer has not disclosed her new residence location but has shared glimpses of her family adjusting to suburban life through Instagram posts.

The former couple also owns a beach property in Point Lookout, New York, purchased in 2021 for $2.5 million, according to Realtor.com.
