Mendoza won the game’s MVP award as he threw for 222 yards and a touchdown, and he also hit Charlie Becker for the game-sealing first down. Now, IU is the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff as Mendoza and the Hoosiers look to continue their impressive season.

3. RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame

Jeremiyah Love put together a standout junior season at Notre Dame and comes in at No. 3 in On3’s Heisman Trophy poll. He was a crucial part of the Fighting Irish offense en route to a 10-2 record, just missing out on the College Football Playoff.

Love put up career numbers as he took 199 carries for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also was a part of the receiving game, hauling in 27 receptions for 280 yards and three touchdowns in the air.

4. QB Julian Sayin, Ohio State

Throughout the 2025 season, Julian Sayin helped lead Ohio State’s high-powered offense as the Buckeyes went 12-1. That also put him in the Heisman Trophy conversation, and he checked in at No. 4 in On3’s Heisman Trophy Poll.

Sayin had an up-and-down go in the Big Ten Championship against Indiana but still threw for 258 yards and a touchdown, along with an interception. He and the Buckeyes will now gear up for the College Football Playoff as the No. 2 seed in the field.
