HOLT, Mich. (WILX) – If you happened to be outside Sunday night, chances are you saw a flash in the sky.
An meteorite was seen hurtling towards Earth shortly before 6 p.m. and soon lit up social media.
Social media users shared videos from multiple angles and multiple locations showing the meteorite as it burned up and broke apart, with many people in awe of the spectacle.

News 10 viewer Jeff shared video of the fireball that was seen streaking across Michigan skies Sunday night.
The Facebook page Michigan Storm Chasers estimates that the meteorite broke up somewhere near Kalkaska County.
