No matter the season or the temperature, the naked-dressing trend is showing no signs of slowing down. While most of us are bundling up, the stars keep removing layers, with the past week alone offering us moments like Cardi B’s back-baring LBD and Dua Lipa’s lingerie-inspired lace Gucci set.
Recently, one of the strongest proponents has been Millie Bobby Brown, who has embraced a number of transparent ensembles while promoting the final season of her hit sci-fi series Stranger Things. So, it was no surprise to see the young actor keeping her streak up while visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon over the weekend.
For her talk show visit, Brown chose a black pointelle catsuit from Manière De Voir, which featured a chunky leather belt that was merely there for decoration, rather than utility (another trend we’ve seen quite a lot of recently).

Underneath her knit look, Brown layered a pair of matching black boy shorts, while slipping into a set of pointy suede heels in an inky hue that morphed seamlessly with the catsuit. Originally, the Manière De Voir piece was styled as an off-the-shoulder look, but Brown pulled the straps up over her shoulders for more of a scoop-neck effect.

Finally, she left her hair down in loose waves, while accessorizing with a set of silver hoop earrings and rings to match—including her cushion-cut diamond engagement ring from husband Jake Bongiovi.

With this fit, as well as recent others courtesy of Colleen Allen and Valentino, Allen has been on somewhat of a revenge-dressing streak, following her split from David Harbour and the subsequent release of her tell-all divorce album, West End Girl.
Of course, Brown is well acquainted with Harbour, having worked with him closely throughout the last five seasons of Stranger Things. (Earlier rumors suggested that she was bullied by the actor on set, but those have since been debunked.) “We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
Still, is it possible that Brown was sending a subtle message to Allen with her latest look? Coincidence or not, pointelle clearly suits these two West End girls well.
