Update 8:37 p.m.
Shaw Avenue has been reopened, and all vehicles and debris have been cleaned up.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., there was a collision involving a motorcyclist and another vehicle on Shaw and Rowell avenues, across the street from the Fresno State Residence Halls.
Both drivers remained at the scene and were cooperative with law enforcement, according to Fresno Police Department Lt. Alfonso Castillo.
The motorcycle driver did sustain injuries and is currently in the hospital.
“They’re receiving treatment now, but they are going to be in stable, OK conditions,” Castillo told The Collegian.
Castillo also said there is no indication of criminal activity or DUI.
Shaw Avenue from Cedar to Barton avenues is closed at the moment, and police officers remain at the scene waiting for tow trucks to remove the vehicles and debris.
The involved parties are not affiliated with Fresno State.
Castillo estimates that the street will reopen within the next 30 minutes, as of 7:09 p.m.
