TOPICS, INCLUDING THIS INCIDENT. ALL RIGHT. BACK TO THAT BREAKING NEWS HERE. A CAR CRASHES INTO A HOME. THE DRIVER REPORTEDLY RUNNING AWAY FROM THE SCENE BEFORE BEING CAUGHT BY POLICE. THIS IS IN A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR EASTERN AVENUE AND EAST MEMORIAL ROAD. LET’S GET OUT TO JORDAN. YOU ARE LIVE AT THE SCENE. YOU’VE BEEN THERE FOR A LITTLE WHILE NOW. WHAT HAVE YOU SEEN AND WHAT POLICE TOLD YOU? MAN, YOU GUYS, CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING THIS HOMEOWNER AND HAVING A CAR CRASH INTO YOUR HOME EARLY IN THE MORNING? THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED HERE. WE KNOW THAT IT WAS ONE SINGLE CAR THAT VEERED OFF THE ROADWAY, CRASHED INTO THIS HOME. THE SUSPECT RAN AWAY AND VERY QUICKLY AFTER WAS APPREHENDED BY POLICE. LET’S SEE IF WE HAVE THE VIDEO FROM EARLIER THIS MORNING. I WALKED RIGHT UP TO THAT CAR SO YOU COULD SEE THE DAMAGE. THANKFULLY, IT IS VERY MINIMAL THIS MORNING. NOW, WHILE WE WERE HERE, THE SUSPECT, LIKE I SAID, WAS APPREHENDED BY POLICE AND WE DID SEE THEM CONDUCT A SOBRIETY TEST AND THAT SUSPECT WAS HANDCUFFED AND TAKEN AWAY. AND SO NO UPDATE FROM POLICE AS FAR AS EXACTLY WHAT. CHARGES MAY BE FILED. BUT WE WILL KEEP YOU UP HERE AND LOOP AROUND TO COME BACK AND GET THIS CAR. SO RIGHT NOW ONE LANE IS BLOCKED FOR A LITTLE LATER THIS MORNING. THERE MAY BE BOTH LANES EASTBOUND HERE ON MEMORIAL BLOCKED. WE’LL KEEP YOU UPDATED IF THAT HAPPENS AS WELL.
