Arsenal fans fume at Mikel Arteta after Ben White’s injury vs Wolves
The Gunners’ fans have been left fuming at Arsenal’s coaching staff for starting Ben White in three straight games just after he had returned from injury.
White was coming back into form, but now his progress could be quickly halted by what looks to be a hamstring injury.
The frustration from the North London club’s supporters is that Lewis-Skelly could quite easily have replaced him in the line-up anyway.
During the game at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal fans have taken to X to express their frustration towards the 28-year-old going off injured.
One fan said: “Ben White, who hardly played for a year, has been made to play three games in a week… Where was the rotation?”

Another added: “Highlighted my concerns about White starting another consecutive game on today’s podcast. He’s pulled up with a muscular injury and has to be replaced half an hour in.”
There was yet more anger aimed at the decision to start him: “Ben White plays three games in a role after hardly playing, and he gets injured. What a surprise. Why was he playing in the first place with Lewis-Skelly on the bench?”
“Ben White injured. Why start him three games in a week when he’s just ramping up after injury, especially when we have Myles?” questioned another.
The good news is that William Saliba made his return against the Premier League’s bottom-placed team, but now, they have another injury to worry about.
