Passenger killed when rideshare slides backward on snowy Louisville road

A man is dead after his rideshare rolled over him on a slippery Louisville road.According to Louisville Metro police, a man was in a ride share around 9:30 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of N. Hite Ave, which is in the Clifton Heights neighborhood off Brownsboro Road.Police said the driver was trying to get up a snowy hill, but was having trouble, so the passenger told him he’d get out and walk.LMPD said the man went behind the car, and the driver did not see him. The vehicle then rolled back and over the passenger.He died at the scene.It’s unclear whether the driver was backing up or just slid backwards. Police did say weather was a factor in the crash. Police said no charges are expected.LMPD’s Traffic Unit is handling this investigation.

A man is dead after his rideshare rolled over him on a slippery Louisville road.

According to Louisville Metro police, a man was in a ride share around 9:30 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of N. Hite Ave, which is in the Clifton Heights neighborhood off Brownsboro Road.

Police said the driver was trying to get up a snowy hill, but was having trouble, so the passenger told him he’d get out and walk.

LMPD said the man went behind the car, and the driver did not see him. The vehicle then rolled back and over the passenger.
