Ja’Bril Rawls, a breakout performer in Florida State’s 2025 campaign, is entering the Transfer Portal with two seasons of eligibility remaining. The news was first reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3.

This comes after Rawls entered the starting lineup and did well in Tony White’s zone scheme. The Pensacola native had 40 tackles, 2.0 TFL with a forced fumble to go along with 2 PBU, but the stats only tell a part of the story. Rawls had a 73.4 PFF Grade while allowing 2 TD to 1 INT, and he also emerged as a reliable defender on the perimeter when it came to stopping runs and short passes.

He’s expected to command a hefty price tag on the open market.

Rawls did miss FSU’s final couple games of the season with a shoulder injury.

The NCAA Transfer Portal window is January 2nd to January 16th for players to officially enter from the Division I ranks. Unlike past instances, there is just one transfer portal window in 2026.
