A Pleasantville man was sentenced to five years in prison last week, wrapping up three criminal cases spanning a little more than two years.

Naeem Wilson’s charges include stealing a vehicle and two gun cases, with one reported stolen out of Egg Harbor Township.

Wilson, 20, has been jailed since April, after a two-month investigation into drugs being dealt out of the Main Street Market at 128 N. Main St.

He and others were seen selling drugs out of the store when the State Police Crime Suppression South Unit conducted surveillance there, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

State Police got a warrant to search Williams, who fled as they approached him April 4, according to the report.

Wilson fell as he ran, and a black-and-silver handgun fell out of his waistband, according to the charges. He then got up and ran to a property at 217 W. Pleasant Ave., where he tried to climb a vinyl fence, causing damage.

Suppression Unit detectives took him down and arrested him, the report states. A search led to about four grams of crack cocaine, 51 green wax folds containing suspected heroin, and 10 white folds stamped “Magic,” also containing suspected heroin.

The gun was identified as a Glock 19 Gen5, with a serial number that matched one stolen out of Egg Harbor Township.

He pleaded guilty to third-degree charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl, along with second-degree possession of a firearm while committing a drug offense in that case.

Wilson also pleaded guilty to a third-degree theft in connection with a vehicle stolen July 17, 2023.

The husband of the vehicle owner had live GPS tracking on the vehicle as well as a photograph of the suspect from the on-board dash cam.

State Police arrested Wilson several weeks later. He admitted to taking the Audi Q3 when he was interviewed Aug. 2, 2023, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

He also pleaded guilty to third-degree receiving stolen property and fourth-degree tampering as a result of the vehicle recovery.

Wilson also pleaded guilty to his oldest case, stemming from a Feb. 9, 2023, search of his residence, when a handgun was found with a large-capacity magazine.

He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree prohibited weapons in that case.

Wilson must serve at least 3½ years before he is eligible for parole.
