Goose Creek ISD said there was a fight on campus between students.
BAYTOWN, Texas — A student has died after a fight on school campus, Goose Creek ISD officials confirmed to KHOU 11 News.
It happened at Ross S. Sterling High School Wednesday morning.  District officials said the fight was between two students. Baytown police  one of the students was taken by Life Flight in critical condition.  Goose Creek ISD later confirmed to KHOU 11 that the student died.Â
The district said in a post that another student was in custody and there is no threat to the campus. Below is their updated statment.
“Sterling was placed on a hold following a fight on campus involving two students,” read the updated statement from Goose Creek ISD.” “One student required medical attention. The parents of both students have been notified, and the situation was addressed promptly. The hold has been lifted, and there is no current threat to students and staff on campus.”
At this point, we don’t know how the student died.
