The Los Angeles Rams have been hit by another travel disaster after their flight to Seattle was struck by ‘significant delays’ due to equipment issues.

The Rams are due to play in Seattle on Thursday Night Football, but 24 hours before kick-off, they were stranded on the tarmac in LA, per NFL insider Adam Schefter.

In a tweet, the ESPN reporter wrote: ‘The Rams’ team flight that was supposed to be leaving any minute now is expected to be significantly delayed due to an equipment issue with the plane, per sources.

‘The team currently is working on alternative travel arrangements to prevent any further delays getting to Seattle.’

Later, it was then revealed that the players would need to board a separate flight to many of the team’s staff, who would head to Seattle on a later departure.

The travel nightmare comes a week after head coach Sean McVay was forced to travel separately to his players due to a mystery illness.

He managed to coach against the Arizona Cardinals on December 7, but his participation on the sideline was touch-and-go leading up to kickoff.

And now even more travel issues have struck the team, complicating a short week as they head to a huge NFC West showdown with the Seahawks.

Both teams have an 11-3 record and are among the best teams in the NFC, with the Rams beating the Lions at SoFi last time out.

It has been a huge week for the McVay family, after the head coach overcame his illness and then welcomed a new baby with his wife Veronika.

Christian McVay was born at 6am on Monday, as his 39-year-old father revealed Tuesday. Both the newborn and his mother are healthy and doing well.

News of the impending birth had been circling since the Rams’ win over the visiting Detroit Lions a SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

As first reported by Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, McVay had to rush from the game in Inglewood to the hospital so he could be on had for his baby’s arrival.

McVay’s team has been one of the standouts of the season with veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford widely tipped to be crowned MVP. Receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams are also one of the NFL’s best duos.
