The Denver Broncos will debut a new uniform combination this week.

The NFL relaxed its helmet rules this offseason, allowing teams to wear alternate helmets with non-alterate jerseys. That means the Broncos can wear their white alternate helmet with a primary jersey, and because NFL clubs have to practice in the helmets they play in, Wednesday marked a big spoiler ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Broncos wore white helmets at Wednesday’s practice, signaling that they plan to wear that alternate helmet against the Jaguars in Week 16. Denver already wore its alternate navy jersey earlier this season, so the Broncos will wear their primary orange jersey with the white helmet on Sunday (assuming they’re not planning to wear white jerseys at home).

This will mark a new combination for the Broncos, who previously wore the white helmet with their alternate navy jersey last year.

Denver has one more alternate uniform game remaining this season as the club plans to wear its beautiful throwback uniform again against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18 (Jan. 3/4). First things first, though, it’ll be orange and white on Sunday.
