The Green Bay Packers were without sideline heaters during at least part of the first half of their frigid NFC North showdown with the Chicago Bears on Saturday night at Soldier Field.
The heaters, as well as the offensive line’s heated bench, were inoperable for the visiting Packers, while the ones for the Bears were, Fox’s Erin Andrews reported during the second quarter. Green Bay’s heaters resumed working by the third quarter, a team spokesman told The Athletic.
Temperatures hovered around freezing with first place in the division on the line. The game-time temperature was 35 degrees, with a 15-mile-per-hour wind.
