It has been a rough year for “Duck Dynasty” fans as the Robertson family has been hit with its share of health issues and heartbreak.
Phil Robertson’s death earlier this year was the big blow, but his wife, Kay Robertson, has had some concerning health issues as well. But, in the family’s recent “Unashamed” podcast, fans found out that she is now doing much better.
“She’s doing amazing,” Al Robertson said according to Taste of Country. “She seems to have turned a corner and is doing really good.”
Al and Jase Robertson revealed that Kay Robertson was doing so well that she was able to attend Thanksgiving with the family.
“She was excited, happy,” Al said.
Willie Robertson gave an update on Kay’s health back in June that painted a much different picture.
“Kay is not in the best of health,” he told USA Today. “We’re trying to help her out as much as we can.”
“Some of it is she is just depressed,” he said. “She lost her partner of 60 years.”
But “Miss Kay” was also struggling with her health before Phil’s death. Jase Robertson made the revelation on the “Unashamed With the Robertson Family,” podcast in April.
He said she suffered a fall and then had an infection that they feared might be the end of her life.
Aside from Kay’s health struggles, Uncle Si Robertson, 77, was also hospitalized recently with a severe sinus infection. Thankfully, he was treated and released.
Phil Robertson, 79, died back on May 25.
