Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers’ level of play has started to pick up recently. Things looked a little rough for him there for a second, especially after he suffered a wrist injury. However, Rodgers has been playing good football over the last few weeks. Part of that has been because the Steelers’ offensive line has done a good job protecting him. With the holiday season here, Rodgers made sure to give back to that group.

Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review shared on Twitter that Rodgers gifted each of his offensive linemen Can-am off-roader side-by-sides. While it’s unclear exactly what model Rodgers got, that’s still quite the expensive gift. Most Can-am side-by-sides go for thousands of dollars, with some of the more expensive versions going for almost $40,000.

It’s a good way for Rodgers to show his appreciation for that group. It’s common for quarterbacks to give their offensive linemen gifts for Christmas. There’s usually a strong bond between a signal caller and the players who protect him. Russell Wilson splurged for some of his Steelers teammates last year, getting them luxury gifts.

Rodgers took a slightly different approach, but it’s likely appreciated just as much. Players can have a lot of fun with side-by-sides. Hopefully, they all stay safe when they use them.

The Steelers’ offensive linemen certainly earned the extravagant gifts, especially with their recent performances. Rodgers has been sacked 25 times on the season but only five of those have come in the last three weeks. They’ve done a solid job keeping him upright.

Also, the Steelers’ offensive line has been much better in the run game. It helped propel the Steelers to well over 200 rushing yards against the Detroit Lions. That’s also helped take some pressure off Rodgers.

Rodgers has gotten flak from the media about being a poor teammate in the past. However, if you ask any of the Steelers’ offensive linemen right now, they probably only have nice things to say. Rodgers has been a solid addition to the Steelers this season, both on the field and in the locker room. We’ll see if that translates to a win in the postseason. That might be one of the best gifts that he could give this year.
