  • December 27, 2025

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources is looking to hire state conservation officers.

According to DLNR, the application for 53 entry level officers opens Jan. 3.

The new officers will work for the DLNR’s Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement, or DOCARE.

“Protecting Hawaii’s natural, cultural, historical, and recreational resources is a unique privilege,” said DOCARE Chief Jason Redulla. “Interest has always been high for this important job. With the dynamic working environment we have here in Hawaii, and the limited number of spots available, we expect that trend to continue.”

“Our area of responsibility is vast and spans from mauka to makai, and three miles out-to-sea,” Redulla said. “There’s no shortage of work to be done and we look forward to increasing our ranks with dedicated people.”

The jobs will be advertised at the state’s jobs website, which is operated by the Department of Human Resources Development.

Applications and other required documentation can be submitted at that link.
