World News Live Updates: Iran President claims ‘full-scale war’ with US, Israel and Europe
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Saturday that Iran is currently engaged in a “full-scale war” with the United States, Israel, and Europe. In an interview published on the official website of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Pezeshkian described this confrontation as “more complicated and more difficult” than the 1980s Iran–Iraq war.
He accused Western powers of attempting to destabilize Iran through economic, cultural, political, and security pressure.
The remarks come just two days before a scheduled meeting on Monday at Mar-a-Lago between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, where Iran is expected to be a primary topic.
